There are loads of beaches in and around Christchurch. There is a list below, with a detailed description for each place.

Avon Beach Mudeford Avon beach is very popular as there are plenty of facilities available. For example there is a shop selling everything from books to wetsuits, from drinks to toys. There is a cafe which was refurbished early in 2003. Finally there are some toilets. Coming Soon! Go! 01425

Friars Cliff Beach Mudeford/ Friars Cliff Another superb beach. This time there are less but facilities but the walk to Avon beach is only about 10 minutes. In the summer months (July-September) there is a lifeguard patrol. There is also a cafe and toilet facilities. Coming Soon! Go! Unknown
Highcliffe Beach Highcliffe A VERY popular beach in the high season. It is a short stroll from the town centre. It has a lot of car parking. However, there are no services near by. The nearest toilet block is at the top of the cliff by the car park. Coming Soon! Unknown Unknown
Steamer Point Friars Cliff/ Highcliffe Steamer Point beach has been designated to boardsailing. There are few facilities at the beach. There are steps from the beach leading up to the cliff top nature reserve. Coming Soon! Unknown Unknown
Mudeford Sandbank Mudeford Mudeford Sandbank can't be reached by car, so you can either get the passenger ferry from Mudeford Quay or walk over from Hengistbury Head car park. Quiet beach, one side facing Mudeford Quay, the other side faces out to sea. Coming Soon! Unknown Unknown
Mudeford Quay Mudeford Mudeford Quay is very popular for sailing as there is a public slipway with easy access. There is a pub, cafe, beach shop, car park, fresh fish shop and a public slipway. Fishing and crabbing are also popular. Go! Unknown Unknown
